Dr Laurence Leaver studied at Emmanuel College, Cambridge and then Green College (now Green Templeton College), Oxford, qualifying in 1991. Like all GPs in the practice he is a trained specialist in General Practice (family medicine) aiming to provide excellent holistic care to patients whatever their condition. He joined the practice in 1996. He has an additional interest in medical student education (he is the Associate Director of Pre-clinical Studies for Health & Welfare at Oxford University, and Senior Tutorial Fellow for clinical medicine at Green Templeton College). He is the practice lead for teaching, minor surgery and clinical commissioning.

He normally works in the practice on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
